The President of the Supreme Election Board (YSK), Ahmet Yener, stated that there is currently no negative situation regarding the local elections in 3 districts and 4 towns in Aksaray, Kayseri, Tunceli, Sivas, and Şanlıurfa, which have been decided to be repeated. Yener said, "Everything is going well." He also mentioned that the decision regarding the lifting of the broadcasting ban before 21:00 will be announced.
After the Local Elections held on March 31, for the first time in Turkey, ballot boxes were set up in 3 districts and 4 towns. Voters went to the ballot boxes today to cast their votes in the districts and towns where the Supreme Election Board (YSK) decided to repeat the elections.
"NO NEGATIVE SITUATION"
Ahmet Yener, the President of the Supreme Election Board (YSK), made a statement regarding the re-run local elections. Yener stated that "There is no negative situation at the moment, everything is going well."
YSK President Yener, in his statement to the journalists in front of the YSK, reported that the elections were continuing smoothly and expressed his wish for it to continue this way.
WILL THE PUBLICATION BAN BE LIFTED BEFORE 21.00?
Yener reminded that the ballot boxes will be opened as of 17.00 and said, "We, as the board, will decide whether to lift the publication ban before 21.00 and announce it to you. There is no negative situation at the moment, everything is going well."
OBJECTIONS ACCEPTED, ELECTION DECISION MADE
YSK examined the objections made after the local elections on March 31 and decided to repeat the elections in some districts, towns, and neighborhoods.
BALLOT BOXES SET UP AGAIN IN 3 DISTRICTS AND 4 TOWNS
Voters went to the ballot boxes today to elect their mayors in Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri, Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa, Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, and Güneykaya neighborhood of Yıldızeli district of Sivas, Büyükkarıştıran neighborhood of Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli, Akpazar neighborhood of Mazgirt district of Tunceli, and Sağlık neighborhood of Aksaray.

Aksaray-Güzelyurt: AK Party, GOOD Party, Welfare Party, Victory Party, Independent Turkey Party, CHP, Nation Party, MHP, and Felicity Party.
Aksaray Center-Sağlık: AK Party, GOOD Party, Welfare Party, Victory Party, Independent Turkey Party, MHP, and Felicity Party.
Kayseri-Pınarbaşı: GOOD Party, Grand Unity Party, Welfare Party, Victory Party, Independent Turkey Party, CHP, National Way Party, MHP, DEVA Party, and Felicity Party. Hayrettin Uslu, the BBP Pınarbaşı Mayoral candidate, withdrew his candidacy and decided to support MHP candidate Menduh Uzunluoğlu.
