In India, images of cult leader Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj receiving his followers in a special glass-enclosed, air-conditioned section have drawn attention. In the footage, devotees are seen lining up to touch and kiss the leader's feet, while Rampal had previously been seen walking around with portable coolers during hot weather.
Spiritual leader Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj in India has once again become the center of controversy due to the unusual setup he uses when meeting his followers. In images featured in the foreign press, Rampal is seen sitting in a chair inside an air-conditioned, glass-enclosed section, while his followers line up in front of him. Current foreign sources also describe the setup as an air-conditioned glass cabin that protects Rampal from the heat.
FOLLOWERS KISSED HIS FEET IN TURN
In an approximately 19-second video reaching Haberler.com, Rampal sits in a chair inside the glass-enclosed section. His followers outside the cabin take turns reaching in to touch and kiss Rampal's feet.
While Rampal's feet are seen extended outside the cabin so followers can reach them, he himself remains inside the glass section.
AIR-CONDITIONED CABIN DREW ATTENTION
According to information reflected in the foreign press, the glass-enclosed section includes an air conditioning system. The setup allows Rampal to maintain contact with his followers without being affected by high temperatures. Similar images were also shared on broadcasts and accounts in different countries, claiming they were of Rampal.
However, no independent and reliable verification was found that the cabin was specifically designed to allow followers to kiss his feet more easily. While the images clearly show the arrangement providing access to the feet, foreign press reports about the cabin's purpose focus more on protecting Rampal from the heat.
HE WAS PREVIOUSLY SEEN WALKING WITH COOLERS
Rampal's precautions against hot weather had been reported before. In images published in May 2026, Rampal was seen walking in his ashram in Haryana while aides carried portable coolers beside him. The Straits Times reported that the images were recorded during extreme heat in India, while the Indian press also noted that the aides moved the coolers along as Rampal walked.
In the new images, however, the portable coolers appear to have been replaced by the glass-enclosed, air-conditioned special section.
