The "Tulipa Sprengeri," which scientists and travelers have been tracking for years, was found in Amasya thanks to the attention of a caretaker. The mysterious plant, now under protection, has become a symbol of hope again after 130 years.

• Within the scope of the "Lost Tulip Returns from Exile to Homeland" project carried out in recent years, seeds obtained from specimens in Europe were brought back to Türkiye and began to be propagated.

• In June 2026, its rediscovery in its natural habitat in Amasya revealed that the plant had not been lost for about 130 years and continued to survive in the region.
