After the Eid al-Adha holiday, holidaymakers returning to their hometowns caused congestion on the Anatolian Highway and D-100 highway. Traffic in the Bolu, Kocaeli, Karabük, and Düzce sections occasionally came to a standstill, while teams are warning drivers to be careful.
After spending Eid al-Adha in their hometowns or holiday resorts, vacationers returning to their cities are creating congestion on highways and roads.
BOLU
Due to holiday return traffic, congestion is being experienced on the Anatolian Highway at the Bolu Gerede Toll Booths, Yeniçağa, Köroğlu Ramps, and Çaydurt areas in the direction of Istanbul.
Traffic in the region is occasionally disrupted by minor accidents and vehicles breaking down.
On the D-100 highway, congestion is occasionally experienced at the Gerede-Black Sea Connection Road, Yeniçağa, Çaydurt, and Bolu city center areas.
On the Anatolian Highway and D-100 highway in the direction of Ankara, traffic is flowing normally.
KOCAELİ
Congestion has begun on the Kocaeli section of the Anatolian Highway.
Due to holiday return traffic, congestion is being experienced on the highway at the Gültepe and Korutepe areas, known as the viaduct and tunnel region, and the Bekirdere Ramp in the direction of Istanbul.
In the area where the road narrows to two lanes, traffic flow occasionally comes to a halt.
Meanwhile, on the Northern Marmara Highway and the D-100 highway in the Kocaeli section, traffic is flowing normally.
KARABÜK
On the D-100 highway, which connects Black Sea cities to the Anatolian Highway, congestion occurred in the Karabük section on the fourth day of Eid al-Adha due to those returning.
Those heading back are causing traffic to slow down in places along a 13-kilometer stretch of the D-100 highway within the Eskipazar district boundaries.
Highways and traffic teams, continuing their checks non-stop at the Kemikli ramps used by those traveling to provinces like Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Istanbul, are warning drivers to follow the rules and be careful.
DÜZCE
On the Düzce section of the Anatolian Highway, congestion begins at the exit of the Bolu Mountain viaducts toward Istanbul.
Congestion increases in the area between the Kaynaşlı toll booths, Üçköprü, Beyköy, and Düzce toll booths.
At the Sinirci, Gölyaka Toll Booths, and Gümüşova ramps, traffic continues with a steady flow.
