THE ARGUMENT TURNED INTO A FIGHT
In an apartment in a six-story building in the Bahçelievler neighborhood, an argument broke out between S.A. and his wife A.A. in the early hours of the morning for a reason not yet known. When the argument quickly turned into a fight, S.A. allegedly shot his wife with a handgun, then called an ambulance for help, and afterward took his own life with the same firearm.
THE COUPLE COULD NOT BE SAVED
Following the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The couple, who were taken to Bahçe State Hospital by medical teams, were determined to have died. The bodies were sent to the morgue of Osmaniye Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
THEY HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR 20 DAYS
Elif Gök, a neighbor living in the same building, said they had heard that the couple argued frequently.
Gök said, "When I woke up around 5:30 a.m., I opened the window. I saw police teams and an ambulance in front of the building. When we looked into the incident out of curiosity, we learned that a person living on the 6th floor of the same building had first shot his wife and then shot himself. This couple had only been married for 20 days. However, it was said that they frequently had arguments. In fact, this was also a topic that the residents of the building discussed among themselves. There were rumors that they argued and fought almost every night."
