Within the scope of the Izmir-based investigation, Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, who was detained, was released by the court under house arrest despite the prosecutor's request for arrest. In the same investigation, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Güzelbahçe Council Member Doğuş Bayır was also referred to court with a request for arrest, while contractor E.A. was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor.
The judicial procedures for Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit, who was detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Seferihisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been completed. After a health check, Yiğit was referred to the Seferihisar Courthouse and brought before the court with a request for arrest by the prosecutor's office.
COURT RULES HOUSE ARREST
The court decided to impose house arrest on Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit.
As part of the investigation, Güzelbahçe and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Council Member Doğuş Bayır was also brought before the court with a request for arrest, along with Yiğit. Contractor E.A., who was involved in the same case, was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor's office.
25 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED
Under the instruction of the Seferihisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous operations were conducted across four provinces centered on İzmir, leading to detention orders for 26 individuals, including Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit and Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin.
As part of the operation, 25 people were detained, including Onur Yiğit, İsmail Yetişkin, Güzelbahçe and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Council Member Doğuş Bayır, and Seferihisar Deputy Mayors Nuriye Hepterlikçi and İnanç Karabulut.
