The number of detentions in the illegal betting operation organized in 17 provinces under the coordination of the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has risen to 40. In the MASAK examination, a money movement of 6 billion 180 million liras was detected in accounts belonging to 51 suspects and 1 company through 280 thousand transactions. Six of the suspects determined to have organized betting within the organized structure are fugitives.

The number of suspects detained in simultaneous operations conducted in 17 provinces, centered in Izmir, targeting an illegal betting organization has risen to 40. Efforts continue to capture 6 fugitive suspects.
6 BILLION LIRA IN TRAFFIC ACROSS 280 THOUSAND TRANSACTIONS
Within the scope of the investigation coordinated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 51 suspects and 1 company were identified. In examinations conducted on MASAK data, a total of 6 billion 180 million lira in money movement was determined in the suspects' accounts across 280 thousand transactions.
It was determined that the suspects operated illegal betting within an organized structure, provided a place and means for betting, mediated the transfer of money obtained from illegal betting, and created a hierarchical structure within the criminal organization.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 17 PROVINCES
As part of the work by teams of the Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Cyber Crimes Combating Branch Directorate against the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime and being a member of the organization" and "violation of Law No. 7258," a simultaneous operation was conducted centered in Izmir in Istanbul, Adana, Bursa, Tekirdağ, Mersin, Ağrı, Ankara, Aydın, Bartın, Isparta, Diyarbakır, Kahramanmaraş, Kırıkkale, Kocaeli, Muğla, and Gaziantep.
During searches at the addresses belonging to the suspects, mobile phones, 8 SIM cards, USB drives, and hard disks were seized.
