Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu responded to the question of whether a trustee would be appointed to the IBB by saying, "A trustee and the IBB cannot coexist."
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in a television program he attended, responded to the question of whether a trustee would be appointed to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) by saying, "I would never recommend it. We have worked long and hard on what we will do about this."
The same question was also asked today to IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu. İmamoğlu stated, "The esteemed Chairman does not put the words Istanbul and trustee together," and added, "16 million Istanbulites do not have such an agenda. The IMM and trustee cannot be mentioned together."
Regarding the potential candidacy for the presidency, İmamoğlu said, "Our agenda right now is to address the lawlessness and injustice in the country. We will do our job well. The nation will decide that when the time comes."

From the very first minute regarding what we will do, what the party will do, what the province will do, what other provinces will do, what the IMM will do, what Mr. Ekrem will do? We have been working by holding series of meetings day by day, minute by minute, for about 4 weeks. We do not see this as possible or feasible."
