FISHERMAN THE ONLY RESCUER
In a statement by the Malaysian Maritime Agency, it was reported that the migrants on the sinking boat were rescued by a fisherman passing through the area. Search and rescue operations have been launched to find the missing individuals.
HELICOPTER AND PLANE DEPLOYED
Authorities stated that boats, a helicopter, and a surveillance plane have been sent to the area for the missing migrants on the boat, which was determined to have departed from the Kisaran region of Indonesia on May 9. Search efforts are ongoing.
