In the touristic district of Bartın, Amasra, accommodation reservations have reached 80 percent ahead of the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. Melih Saylam, President of the Amasra Culture and Tourism Association, stated that if weather conditions are favorable, they expect over 500,000 tourists, including day visitors. Additionally, 15,000 to 20,000 tourists are anticipated to visit İnkumu Beach daily, while 50,000 are expected at the Güzelcehisar Lava Columns.
In the touristic district of Amasra, with a population of 6,600 in Bartın, reservations at all accommodation facilities have already reached 80% ahead of the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. Melih Saylam, President of the Amasra Culture and Tourism Association, stated that they expect 100% occupancy during the holiday, saying, "There is very high demand for Amasra during the holiday. If weather conditions are favorable, we expect over 500,000 tourists, including day-trippers."
In Amasra, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List-listed Amasra Castle and a key summer tourism destination in the Western Black Sea region, reservations at hotels with a total bed capacity of 5,000 have already reached 80% before the Eid al-Adha holiday. Known for its pristine coves, historical sites, natural beauty, and fish-heavy cuisine, Amasra, with a population of 6,600, is expected to be visited by 500,000 people, including day-trippers, during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
"WE HAVE PREPARED EVERYTHING"
Melih Saylam, President of the Amasra Culture and Tourism Association, said, "During the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, occupancy rates in our hotels and guesthouses have reached nearly 80%. As we enter the final week, we can say that occupancy rates in accommodation facilities will reach 90% or 100%. There is very high demand for our district Amasra during the holiday. If weather conditions are favorable, we expect over 500,000 tourists, including day-trippers. Along with Amasra, Bartın offers attractions such as the Blue Flag Inkumu Beach, the 80-million-year-old Güzelcehisar Lava Columns, and Küre Mountains National Park. In coordination with the Bartın Governorship, Amasra District Governorship, Amasra Municipality, and our association, we have taken all measures to ensure that tourists visiting our district during Eid al-Adha have a comfortable and peaceful holiday. We welcome everyone."
15-20 THOUSAND HOLIDAYMAKERS EXPECTED DAILY AT İNKUMU
The İnkumu holiday resort, with its 3-kilometer coastline, is also expected to attract interest during the holiday. Bartın Mayor Muhammet Rıza Yalçınkaya said, "Especially during long holiday periods, guests visiting our district Amasra always stop by İnkumu. Currently, we expect 15-20 thousand people daily in İnkumu. As the municipality, we have taken all measures at Blue Flag İnkumu. We have made all preparations to host our guests in the best way possible."
LAVA COLUMNS UNIQUE IN TURKEY AWAIT VISITORS
The 80-million-year-old Güzelcehisar Lava Columns in Bartın, which are only found in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and California globally, and uniquely in Turkey, are expected to be visited by nearly 50,000 local and foreign tourists during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
