FIRE BROKE OUT AS IT APPROACHED THE STOP

The incident occurred around 16:30 on the IBB Social Facilities-Avcılar route. According to information obtained, a fire of unknown cause erupted in the engine section of the metrobus as it approached the stop. Due to the rapidly rising smoke, passengers were evacuated from the vehicle.

TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED

Upon the report, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the intervention of fire crews, the fire was extinguished, and cooling work was carried out on the vehicle.

SERVICES EXPERIENCED DISRUPTIONS

Due to the fire, there were brief disruptions in metrobus services. Following the completion of cooling operations, the malfunctioning metrobus was removed from the scene with the help of an IETT tow truck. It was later learned that services returned to normal.
