Evaluating the championship after the match, Okan Buruk said, "Truly... our 4th championship. We fought a lot. It came down to the end of the match, but I want to thank the great Galatasaray fans who always supported us. We made them happy in these 4 years. Four consecutive championships is the second time in Galatasaray's history. Our goal is the 5th consecutive championship. I want to thank my players. Dursun Özbek, Abdullah Kavukcu, and Maruf Güneş were always with us. I want to thank them all."
