The feud between two families in Erzurum over a land sale turned into an armed clash. Seven people were injured in the incident.
In the Palandöken district of Erzurum, 7 people were injured in an armed and knife fight between two families.
FAMILIES ENGAGED IN KNIFE AND GUN FIGHT
The incident occurred around 16:30 in the rural Toparlak neighborhood of Palandöken district. According to claims, a dispute arose between members of the Ö. family and the Y. family over a piece of land purchased by the Y. family. The argument quickly turned into a knife and gun fight.
7 PEOPLE INJURED
As a result of the scuffle and gunfire, S.Y., B.Y., E.Y., H.Y., and G.Y., along with Ö.Ö. and M.Ö. from the other family, were injured. Upon notification, numerous ambulances and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured from the Y. family were taken to Atatürk University Research Hospital via ambulances, while those from the Ö. family were taken to Erzurum City Hospital for treatment.
Some houses and vehicles in the Toparlak neighborhood where the incident occurred were also damaged. Extensive security measures were taken in the neighborhood and around the hospitals to prevent any further incidents between the parties. The gendarmerie continues its investigation into the incident.
