In Eskişehir, Abdülkadir Çelik (21) shot and killed Muratcan Altun (24), with whom he had been arguing, using a pump-action shotgun. After the incident, Çelik was caught at his home and taken into custody, while the moments when he chased Altun and opened fire were recorded by a cell phone camera.
The incident occurred on Yunus Emre Avenue in the Kurtuluş neighborhood of Odunpazarı district. According to the allegation, an argument broke out between Abdülkadir Çelik and Muratcan Altun for a reason not yet known. When the argument grew and turned into a fight, Çelik began chasing Altun with the pump-action shotgun he had with him. Altun, whom Çelik shot at, was hit in the chest and seriously injured. Çelik fled the scene. Upon a report from those around, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Muratcan Altun, who was seriously injured, died in the ambulance despite all the teams' interventions.

Teams from the Public Order Branch of the Eskişehir Police Department determined that the suspect, Çelik, was at his home about 50 meters from the scene. Çelik, caught in an operation carried out at the house, was taken into custody. Claiming that he had thrown the pump-action shotgun into an empty lot, Çelik was taken out of the house accompanied by police teams to show where he had thrown the weapon. Çelik told journalists filming him, "Am I going to end up on the internet? Shoot, brother, that's your job too. He deserved it, brother; that's how it had to be." The shotgun was not found in searches carried out at 3 different points shown by Çelik. The weapon was seized at the suspect's home.
