During the scuffle, a police officer was injured. The young man, who refused to leave the store, was calmed down by his father, who was called to the scene; the moments when his father took the knives from his hand were captured on security camera.

POLICE FIRED INTO THE AIR
The incident occurred at around 09:30 on Adnan Menderes Boulevard in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood. Semih K., alleged to be bipolar, began running and shouting in the street with 2 knives in his hand. Upon notice, police teams were dispatched to the area. Semih K., who did not calm down despite the police teams' intervention, entered a nearby textile store. Police teams trying to stop Semih K. fired 2 shots into the air. During the scuffle at the store entrance, a police officer fell to the ground and was injured. The police officer's health condition was reported to be good.
HIS FATHER TOOK THE KNIVES FROM HIS HAND
Semih K., who refused to leave the store, was calmed by his father, who was called to the scene. His father took the knives from Semih K.'s hand. Those moments were captured on the workplace's security camera.
Semih K., who was removed from the store by police teams, was taken to Kuşadası State Hospital by ambulance. An investigation into the incident was launched.
