HE SECRETLY ENTERED THE FATHER'S HOUSE
The incident occurred on October 20 in Fatih Neighborhood. Tuğçe Pekcan, a mother of 3 children, returned to her father's house after arguing with Furkan D., with whom she had been living in a religious marriage. Furkan D., who secretly entered the house in the morning hours, stabbed Tuğçe Pekcan in her bed. Meanwhile, Gülşen Pekcan, who tried to protect her daughter, was also injured by a knife blow. Upon the notice, medical and police teams were dispatched to the address. Injured Tuğçe Pekcan and Gülşen Pekcan were taken to Malatya Training and Research Hospital after intervention by medical teams and placed under treatment. The suspect Furkan D., who was beaten by neighbors who noticed the incident, was taken into custody by police teams after treatment at Battalgazi State Hospital, where he was taken.

Furkan D. was arrested by the court he was brought before at the courthouse to which he was referred.

Tuğçe Pekcan, who was placed under treatment at the hospital after the incident, stated from her room in the hospital that she had complained many times and said, "I seek refuge in my state." Nihal Pekcan, who stated that her sister was a mother of 3 children and that Furkan D. had previously attempted a knife attack against her sister, said, "Three or four days before the incident, Furkan D. attacked my sister with a knife at their home, but thanks to those who intervened, the attack was prevented and my sister had to flee the house. Despite numerous complaints being filed about this person, why were the necessary precautions not taken? Today my sister is not in a condition to make her voice heard. I am speaking to be her voice. Despite a woman asking for help many times, why could she not be protected? We want justice. We want what happened to be investigated and any negligence to be revealed. Please hear our voice. Let no more women's lives be taken, let no one be hurt. We want justice," she said.
While Tuğçe Pekcan's treatment continues at the hospital, Gülşen Pekcan was discharged.
