At least 11 people died when the roof of a mud-brick house collapsed due to heavy rains in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Monsoon rains affecting northern parts of Pakistan have caused floods and landslides, resulting in loss of life and property. In the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, heavy rains caused the roof of a mud-brick house to collapse. Search and rescue teams worked to reach those trapped under the debris. The bodies of 11 people were recovered from the rubble.
ROADS ALSO CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
The impact of the monsoon rains was not limited to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the Gilgit-Baltistan region, heavy rains triggered landslides, closing some roads to traffic. Many houses in the area also suffered varying levels of damage.
