In the investigation regarding the claim that Ayşe Barım, the manager of celebrities, was the planner of the Gezi Park events, a large number of actors provided statements as witnesses. It was reported that the actors were asked at the courthouse whether they went to Gezi Park of their own accord or under Barım's guidance, while allegations that the actors were detained were denied.

The investigation against Ayşe Barım, the manager of celebrities who has been in the spotlight due to allegations of monopolization in the series and film industry, is ongoing with full speed. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office claims that Barım directed artists affiliated with ID İletişim to participate in the Gezi Park Events between May 29 and June 2, 2013. It was also alleged that Barım was in intense communication with Osman Kavala, who is imprisoned in the Gezi Park Case, Çiğdem Mater, and actor Mehmet Ali Alabora, who is currently abroad, during this period.

ARE THE ACTORS GIVING TESTIMONY IN CUSTODY?

As part of the investigation, famous actors including Halit Ergenç, Nejat İşler, Mehmet Günsür, and Merve Dizdar were summoned to the Çağlayan Courthouse to provide testimony as witnesses. Journalist Emrullah Erdinç stated that the claims circulating on social media, "The actors giving testimony have been taken into custody," do not reflect the truth. Erdinç said, "There are claims that the actors giving testimony at the Çağlayan Courthouse have been taken into custody or are still in custody. This information is not correct. It is expected that other actors will also be called to provide testimony as witnesses in the upcoming process. Therefore, none of the mentioned names are in custody. In other words, the only person in custody within the scope of the investigation is Ayşe Barım, the co-founder of ID İletişim." he said.

ONLY ONE QUESTION WAS ASKED TO THE ACTORS AT THE COURTHOUSE

Erdinç reported that the actors giving testimony as witnesses were asked, "Did they go to Gezi Park of their own free will or did they participate in the action under the direction of Ayşe Barım?"
