The Dardanelles Strait has been closed to two-way transit ship traffic due to heavy fog. As visibility decreased, ship traffic services issued warnings, and vessels began to be anchored in waiting areas.
The dense fog, which has increased its effect in the Dardanelles Strait, has caused disruptions in maritime transportation. Due to the reduced visibility, the strait was closed to two-way transit ship traffic around 03:40 due to limited visibility (fog).
