In the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), the Mothers of Diyarbakır, whose children were abducted by the terrorist organization PKK, were heard in the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission.

"NO MOTHER OR FATHER SHOULD BE SAD, SHOULD NOT CRY"

Diyarbakır Mother Bedriye Uslu thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, and TBMM Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş for inviting her to the commission meeting. Uslu said, "May God never let our state be absent from us. May no bad thing happen to our homeland, to our country. No mother and father should be sad, should not cry. I am grateful to all the mothers of martyrs, I salute them with my heart. I came for my children. They are missing. Our hope is in God first and then in our state. The Turkish flag is enough for all of us, let them come too," she said.

"THE PKK LAYING DOWN ARMS MEANS OUR CHILDREN RETURNING"

Süleyman Aydın stated that his son Özkan Aydın was deceived by the terrorist organization PKK at the age of 15 and that he has been separated from his child for 10 years. Aydın, who said that his child should not be prosecuted if he comes down from the mountain, stated, "There is a terrorist organization that has been a scourge on our country for 40 years. Our 15-year-old children should have been students now, they should have been studying, but unfortunately, my son is currently in the hands of the PKK. I do not know if my child is dead or alive for 10 years. The pain of losing a child is very difficult, may God never let anyone experience it. We want our children back. For more than 6 years, while we have been asking for our children, some supported us, but unfortunately, some groups ignored us. For about 7 years, we have faced rain and snow, even got sick, but we continued our struggle for our children. I went as far as the rural area of Lice in Diyarbakır, and the PKK said, 'Your child is here, but we will not give him.' My child has been in their hands for 10 years, and I do not know if he is dead or alive. This country belongs to all of us, and when we heard that the PKK laid down its arms, it became a great hope for all of us; their laying down arms means our children returning. We want our children back; we did not raise them for the PKK. I thank President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who initiated the process of a Turkey without terrorism, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, and all of you. Our hope is currently with you; reunite the children with the mothers of Diyarbakır," he said. Aydın stated that the PKK does not fight for the Kurds and mentioned that his wife is receiving treatment due to the abduction of their son.

"WE EXPECT THEM TO MAKE A HUMANITARIAN RETURN"

Diyarbakır Mother Ayşegül Biçer emphasized that they have been fighting without firing a single bullet and that since they started their vigil, 62 families have reunited with their children. Biçer spoke about their struggle for her son to return home, saying, "I did not give up my tent vigil because I reunited with my child, as hundreds of mothers are still waiting for their children. Our story is not just an individual pain; it is a common wound of this country. Whenever there is a child loss in a family's heart, that pain is the pain of all of us. The first step to be taken in this process is clear; the endless pain of families who have been in the child vigil for years must end, and their children must return or clear information about their fate must be provided. It is not enough to lay down arms; families must be allowed to return to their innocent young people who were taken by force or deception. Among these young people, there are disabled, sick, injured, weak, women, and minors. So we expect not only the terrorist organization to lay down its arms but also to make a humanitarian return. If there is sincerity, all the children who were taken by deception should be sent back because mothers are waiting, homes are burning, and eyes are on the roads. I have a special invitation for you, commission members; please come to Diyarbakır, sit in our tent, and have a cup of tea with us. Look into the eyes of the mothers there; those eyes will tell you everything," she stated.
