In the investigation conducted by the Ankara West Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the allegation that fraud was committed through fake websites set up for TOKİ applications, 6 of 8 suspects taken into custody were arrested.
FRAUD WITH FAKE TOKİ WEBSITES
According to the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was initiated by the Forgery, Fraud and Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau after citizens wishing to apply to TOKİ were defrauded through fake websites.
6 PEOPLE ARRESTED
In the investigation, 8 suspects who were assessed to have committed the crime of "fraud by using information systems as a tool" were taken into custody in simultaneous operations held in Ankara, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Manisa and Mersin.
After procedures at the police station, 6 of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested, and 2 people were released.
