In the Narin Güran case, the courtroom was frozen by the confession of "sexual intercourse."

After 19 days of being lost in Diyarbakır, the lifeless body of Narin Güran was found in a sack in the riverbed. A trial has been opened against the detained suspects, including his mother Yüksel, his brother Enes, and his uncle Salim Güran, for the crime of 'intentional murder of a child in complicity,' with a request for aggravated life imprisonment. The first hearing in the case began, with the first to take the stand being the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar.

During the trial, which has captivated Turkey, Bahtiyar stated, "Uncle Salim told me, 'Narin saw us while having sexual intercourse with his mother,'" after which father Arif Güran broke down in tears.

• Nevzat Bahtiyar: Salim told me to throw pieces into the river.
• Judge: Have you ever done something like this before? Where does this cold-bloodedness come from?
• Nevzat Bahtiyar: I had to do it because he threatened me. He threatened me with a gun. He said, 'I will shoot your son Muhammed in the head and you in the head.' I was scared.
• Judge: Did you see Enes and Yüksel at home?
• Nevzat Bahtiyar: No, I didn't see them. Salim went outside, brought a blanket. I was alone at home, I didn't see anyone. Then we wrapped it in a blanket with Salim. After that, we went to my car, at that moment no one saw us. I put it in my red car. At that moment, I saw Yüksel from above, he was crying.

• Nevzat Bahtiyar: Yes, there was a black t-shirt and a bag.
• Judge: There is DNA from Salim's car. Is there any wetness on the blanket in his car?
• Nevzat Bahtiyar: I don't know, I don't remember.
