Millions of voters heading to the polls in the U.S. made their choice between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump. According to unofficial results, Trump won 277 delegates. One of the names congratulating Trump was President Erdoğan.

In Erdoğan's social media post, the following statements were made: "I congratulate my friend Donald Trump, who was re-elected as President of the United States after winning the presidential election in the United States following a great struggle."

"I BELIEVE HE WILL STRIVE FOR A FAIRER WORLD"

In this new era that will begin with the choice of the American people, I hope for the strengthening of Turkey-U.S. relations and that the crises and wars occurring on a regional and global scale, especially the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war, will come to an end; I believe that more effort will be made for a fairer world.

I wish that the elections will be a blessing for the friendly and allied American people and all humanity."

TRUMP'S VICTORY SPEECH

Meanwhile, as the unofficial results of the U.S. elections continue to be announced, Trump, who was reported to have surpassed the required number of delegates for the presidency, gave a victory speech at a congress center near his residence in Florida. Starting his speech by thanking his supporters, Trump said, "This is a political victory like we have never seen before in our country. I thank the American people for being elected as the 47th president."
