Yönter, who has been in the news recently due to resignations and organizational crises within the MHP, is now facing allegations of domestic violence. Journalist Barış Pehlivan, speaking on the Onlar TV program, shared details by reflecting the statement record given by Meltem Yılmaz Yönter to the police on the screen. According to the shared record, it was stated that the incident occurred on July 15, 2025, around 21:20 at the couple's home.
THE ALLEGATION OF “HE SLAPPED ME MULTIPLE TIMES”
Meltem Yılmaz Yönter, who has been married for 15 years and is a mother of one, stated in her testimony that the argument she had with her husband turned into physical violence. Yönter claimed in her statement that her husband shook her and slapped her multiple times.
Yönter described the events with the words, “We started arguing over a private matter. During the argument, he shook me, slapped me multiple times on the top of my head and my face. I scratched his face and neck to defend myself. Then he grabbed my throat and cursed heavily.”

Yönter stated that security personnel arrived during the incident but her husband did not calm down, and she expressed that she filed a complaint after the police intervention.
Meltem Yılmaz Yönter reported that she officially applied, saying, “I am the complainant and plaintiff against my husband İzzet Ulvi Yönter, who assaulted and insulted me regarding this matter.”
