Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has launched a scandalous campaign targeting the prison conditions of Palestinian prisoners ahead of upcoming elections. In an AI-generated video, Ben-Gvir used the starvation and extreme emaciation of detainees as propaganda material, and when visiting a prison, he responded to female prisoners deprived of humane conditions, saying, 'Summer camps are over.'

Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir's scandalous AI video

In the artificial intelligence-generated video shared on Ben-Gvir's social media account, Palestinian detainees entering a giant machine on a conveyor belt were seen emerging from the other side extremely emaciated, exhausted, and in tears. The images, reminiscent of starvation conditions in Nazi concentration camps and referring to systematic starvation in prisons, drew widespread reaction.

"SUMMER CAMPS ARE OVER" RESPONSE

Ben-Gvir, who turned this fabrication into election material, also visited a prison where Palestinian women are held. Responding to the complaints of Palestinian female prisoner Yasmine Shaaban, who stated during the visit that they had not been able to wash for 3 days and their humanitarian needs were not met, the Israeli minister defended his cruelty with the words, "I am proud that we have reduced prison conditions to a minimum. The summer camps in prisons are over."

EXECUTION FACILITY PREPARATION

The far-right minister, who increased pressure on prisoners and is one of the staunchest advocates of the death penalty, also shared with the public images of a facility where Palestinians would be executed. Regarding the area where preparations are ongoing, Ben-Gvir used the statements, "The execution ward and the hanging facility are beginning to take shape."
