An investigation has been launched against a woman named Yeliz Ergün, who presents herself as a personal development expert and "leader of the Sophia cult" on social media.

A criminal complaint has been filed against Yeliz Ergün, who introduces herself as a 'spiritual advisor' on social media, for allegations of fraud, incitement to suicide, and sexual abuse. Following the allegations, an investigation was initiated against Yeliz Ergün, who is selling a training program titled 'Inner Child 2.0' for 18 thousand lira online and making statements in the videos she shares on her social media accounts, such as 'If you cut off contact with your mother, you will become rich.'

THE ALLEGATIONS ARE SERIOUS

In a statement regarding the issue, Lawyer Melih Demirer said, "Among the victims who committed suicide is a 16-year-old girl. We are continuing our investigations because more and more things are coming to light as we dig deeper. Our state will obtain clearer data based on the research." Psychologist Nesime Bakırtaş stated, "There are many people who have gone into debt and have been forced by their families to purchase these trainings. After taking these trainings, they do not suddenly become rich or have a beautiful life. At this point, there is a significant disappointment."

CLAIMED TO BE A CULT LEADER

It is claimed that Ergün, who states that she comes from a 'Mind Control Cult' background and claims to be a cult leader, particularly targets young people with her so-called trainings, encouraging them to sever family ties and exploiting their hopes for financial gain.

H.K. (22), who experienced victimization from the trainings given by Yeliz Ergün, said, "'Happy relationships, success, the reason for everything is the mother. We do not have these things because our mother did not allow it. If I am not happy and successful right now, if I do not have a job, it is all because my mother did not want it. I became more attached with statements like 'She is blocking me from the womb area.'

The father F.Y. (45), who claims that his daughter started living with Yeliz Ergün as a result of the trainings she received, said, "She referred to herself as a 'sacred priestess.' We heard that she was staying at Yeliz Ergün's house. We also received another tip that she lives in a villa or mansion where six months' rent has been paid, and that she is keeping the children she deceived there."
