CALL TO "LEAVE THE REGION"
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Major General Ali Abdullahi, Commander of the Holy Al-Enbiya Central Headquarters, the combat unit of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, issued an evacuation warning for residents of northern Israel. Abdullahi stated that if Israel targets the Dahieh district of Beirut, Iran will target northern Israel and military areas, and called on residents to leave northern Israel to avoid harm.
NETANYAHU ORDERED "ATTACK"
The Israeli army had threatened an attack and asked residents of the Dahieh district of Beirut, Lebanon's capital, to leave their homes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered the army this morning to carry out airstrikes on the Dahieh district of Beirut.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON LEBANON AND THE CEASEFIRE
The Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many towns in the south of the country. The Lebanese government announced during this process that the number of displaced people in the country had exceeded 1 million.
US President Donald Trump stated on April 24 that a 10-day temporary ceasefire that came into effect on April 17 between Lebanon and Israel had been extended for another 3 weeks. As a result of the third round of talks between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the US on May 14-15, it was decided to extend the ceasefire for 45 days as of May 17 and hold a fourth round of talks in early June.
In its latest statement, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 3,433 people have lost their lives in attacks carried out by Israel on the country since March 2.
Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues its attacks and home demolitions in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah carries out attacks on Israeli forces on the grounds that the ceasefire has been violated.
