The Naval Forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that 4 vessels transferring oil cargo ship-to-ship in the northern part of the Persian Gulf were hit simultaneously and are continuing to burn.
In a statement by the Revolutionary Guards, it was stated that the 4 vessels, said to have passed through "unauthorized" routes, were detected during oil transfer and were hit simultaneously.
3 SHIPS STRUCK MINES IN HORMUZ
The statement also said that last night west of the Strait of Hormuz, 3 vessels struck a naval mine, a fire broke out, and the vessels were stopped.
The Revolutionary Guards, accusing the US of encouraging vessels to pass through a mined passage, argued that this situation led to an increase in maritime accidents.
WARNING OF RESPONSE TO US BASES
In the statement, a warning was issued to the Washington administration, stating that if the US maintains this attitude, the scope of retaliation would also include US bases in the region.
