Singer İrem Derici has given her fiancé Melih Kunukçu until the end of the year to take the step toward marriage. Derici also said that they have left the difficult period in their relationship behind.
İrem Derici, who attended Burak Bulut’s concert at the Bostancı Performance Center, answered questions from members of the press. The singer, who recounted that she and her fiancé Melih Kunukçu had gone through a difficult period in their relationship, stated that this process brought the two of them closer together.
Derici said, “We got through it, we’re done, we’re in good spirits. It was a difficult process for both me and him, but that process bound us to each other much more. I fell in love with him once again.”

When the topic of marriage came up, Derici addressed her fiancé, saying that Kunukçu was watching a match at that moment. The singer gave a deadline until the end of the year for marriage, with the words, “He is watching a match right now, but I’m calling out to my lover from here. If you don’t sign that paper before this year ends, forget me!”
In her statements, Derici also mentioned that as she approaches 40, her expectations from the future have increased. “The 30s went well. There were troubled, very troubled times, but I have much greater expectations from my 40s,” said the singer, and described her regrets about the past with the words, “If only” is the most unnecessary word in the world. There is no case for kissed cheeks.”
