It was alleged that Emir Sarıgül, who is wanted as part of an investigation into money laundering allegations, was hiding in the Ankara home of his father, MP Mustafa Sarıgül, and that the house was surrounded by police. Mustafa Sarıgül, who denied the allegations with a video he published, said he believed his son would go to the prosecutor's office as soon as possible and tell the truth.
The investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations that large amounts of money of unknown origin were laundered through companies established domestically and abroad is ongoing. Within the scope of the investigation, Ömer Sarıgül, Aylin Kotil, Volkan Aslanbaş, Cavidan Tanrah Artuner and journalist Murat Ağırel have been taken into custody, while efforts to apprehend Emir Sarıgül are continuing.
"HE IS HIDING IN THE HOUSE IN ANKARA" CLAIM
As the process continues, it was alleged that Emir Sarıgül, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued, is hiding in the house in Ankara Angora by using the parliamentary immunity of his father, New Party Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül, and that the house has been surrounded by police teams.
VIDEO DENIAL FROM MUSTAFA SARIGÜL
Following these allegations, New Party Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül made statements by publishing a video on his social media account. Stating that the allegations were unfounded, Sarıgül used the following expressions:
"Life sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes saddens you, and sometimes you find yourself facing unfounded news. I am facing one of them. Some media organizations [said] that Emir Sarıgül was in the house in Angora, surrounded by security personnel. I am currently at my home in Istanbul. Please, come on over; I also believe that my son will go to the police and the prosecutor's office as soon as possible and tell the truth, and the truth will come out."
"THOSE WHO ALTER THE 100 TL RECEIPT WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE"
Emphasizing that they have no accounts they cannot give, Sarıgül concluded his statement with these words:
"We have no accounts we cannot give. Those who send a 100 TL receipt and alter them as fake with artificial intelligence will, God willing, also be held accountable before the law."
