The court's decision of "absolute nullity" in CHP and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the General Chairmanship have stirred up Ankara's political circles. Müsavat Dervişoğlu, the leader of the İYİ Party, responded to claims that Özgür Özel and his team would run in the elections through the İYİ Party lists.
After allegations of irregularities at CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held in 2023, the court issued a decision of absolute nullity. In line with this decision, 2.5 years later, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returned to the leadership of the party.
WILL ÖZEL AND HIS TEAM MOVE TO THE İYİ PARTY?
Yesterday in Ankara at 14:00, while Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu held a bayram greeting event in front of CHP Headquarters, CHP Group Leader Özgür Özel was at a simultaneous event in Güvenpark. This situation, revealing the dual leadership in the party, keeps the political agenda hot, while it is claimed that Özgür Özel and his team will move to the İYİ Party and be nominated from their lists to enter the election.
DERVİŞOĞLU'S RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS
Journalist Fatih Atik directly asked İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu about this claim that shook Ankara. "The claim that CHP members have secretly met with İYİ Party and will be candidates from their lists is widely discussed," said Atik, stating that Dervişoğlu flatly denied the allegations and relayed his words: "There is no secret meeting program or plan. If I had such an intention, I wouldn't do it secretly; I would do it openly. Everyone knows me. I have not tasked anyone. There is no traffic, no communication between us and CHP in this sense. There is also no need for such a thing."
"AS İYİ PARTY, WE WILL NOT ENGAGE IN THIS DEBATE"
Fatih Atik also shared İYİ Party Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu's comment on the new situation emerging after the court decision in CHP. Stating that what happened is entirely CHP's internal affair and that İYİ Party will not engage in this debate, Dervişoğlu said: "This is now CHP's own internal matter. A structure has emerged from CHP. They will solve their own problems. As İYİ Party, we cannot engage in this debate."
