The Israeli army has destroyed many houses in its attacks on two towns in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire.
According to a report by Lebanon's official agency NNA, the Israeli army violated the ceasefire by attacking homes in the towns of Kafr Killa and Adise, located in the Marjayoun district in the south of the country.
Israeli forces blew up houses in the town of Kafr Killa, while in Adise, many houses were demolished. As 80 days have passed since the ceasefire agreement, a total of 928 incidents of violations by Israel have been recorded so far.
CEASEFIRE BETWEEN LEBANON AND ISRAEL
A ceasefire was reached between Lebanon and Israel on November 27, 2024. Under this ceasefire, the Israeli army was supposed to withdraw from the points it occupied in southern Lebanon within 60 days. However, Israel extended the occupation period until February 18, claiming that the Lebanese army had not "fully established itself" in the south of the country.
According to statements from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, after the ceasefire was established, 75 people lost their lives and 267 were injured in attacks by the Israeli army. The Israeli army is causing widespread destruction, including residential areas and agricultural lands, in the places it has withdrawn from.
