The Tel Aviv administration has rejected Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' request to visit the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation. Riyad al-Maliki, the Special Representative of the Palestinian President, reacted to the decision to prevent Abbas from visiting Gaza. "ABBAS KNEW IN ADVANCE THAT PERMISSION WOULD NOT BE GRANTED"Maliki said, "The Palestinian President does not need permission to visit any part of Palestinian territories." He emphasized that this decision is evidence of Gaza being under Israeli military occupation and also stated, "Abbas knew in advance that Israel would not allow entry into Gaza." Therefore, Palestinian President Abbas has announced that he is seeking support and security guarantees from the United Nations Security Council to overcome the Israeli obstacle.
