A ceasefire and mutual prisoner exchange agreement reached between Hamas and Israel has come into effect in Gaza. As of 5:00 PM, three Israeli citizens who had been held hostage in Gaza since October 7, 2023, were released by Hamas. In return, the Tel Aviv administration will release 90 Palestinian detainees.
3 ISRAELIS HANDED OVER TO THE RED CROSS
According to the agreement, Israeli citizens Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher, who had been held hostage in Gaza since October 7, 2023, were released by Hamas. The released hostages were handed over to the Red Cross.
