Police intervened against groups attempting to hold unauthorized demonstrations in various districts of Istanbul due to May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day. Taksim, Şişhane, and Osmanbey metro stations were closed until further notice, while the Istanbul Governor's Office announced that 575 people who did not comply with the precautionary measures taken across the province were detained.
