Yaşar Karataş became the only fan in the stands at İstanbulspor's away match against Muğlaspor. The 37-year-old Karataş, who lives in Kocaeli, this time took his 9-year-old daughter Ravzanur and 2-year-old son Göktuğ Alp with him, first to Istanbul and then flew from there to Muğla. Karataş, who said that he and his children were the only ones in the away stand, stated that he kept his promise to his children.

In the 12th week of the Trendyol 1. Lig, in the match where Muğlaspor hosted İstanbulspor, the yellow-black team's only supporter, Yaşar Karataş, followed the match from the stands with his two children.

HE HAS BEEN TRAVELING FROM AWAY MATCH TO AWAY MATCH FOR 9 YEARS

Karataş, 37, who has lived in Kocaeli since 2019 due to his job, has been going to İstanbulspor's home and away matches since 2017.

Karataş, who usually watches away matches alone, took advantage of the good weather and brought his 9-year-old daughter Ravzanur and 2-year-old son Göktuğ Alp to the match in Muğla as well.

Karataş, who came from Kocaeli to Istanbul and from there by air to Muğla, supported his team in the away stands together with his children.

I KEPT THE PROMISE I MADE TO MY CHILDREN

Yaşar Karataş, stating that his love for İstanbulspor enabled him to overcome distances, said that he had been following his team's matches from the stands for about 9 years.

Karataş, explaining that he usually goes to away matches alone, said, “In this match, there were only me and my children in the away stands as supporters. I wanted to take advantage of the good weather and keep the promise I made to my children. They really wanted to come to the match, and today it was finally possible.”

Karataş, who stated that he was born and raised in Istanbul and is originally from Çankırı, expressed that it was unforgettable for him that his children experienced the stadium atmosphere for the first time.

PRAISE FOR THE OPPOSING HEAD COACH

Yaşar Karataş, noting that İstanbulspor could not start the season as it wanted, recorded that he hopes the team will recover with the reinforcements to be made during the mid-season break.

Karataş, speaking with praise of Muğlaspor Head Coach Yalçın Koşukavak, said, “Coach Yalçın is valuable to us. He has put in a lot of effort for us too. I congratulate him. Although Muğlaspor is new to the league, they are doing very well. I wish the Muğlaspor community success as well.”

Karataş stated that he would continue his support for İstanbulspor.
