The Center for Combating Disinformation announced that it has been determined that an attempt has been made to implement a "foreign-sourced and malicious psychological warfare strategy" targeting social unity, brotherhood, and the peaceful environment in recent days. In the statement, it was noted that judicial and administrative processes are being carried out against foci that produce disinformation and provocation, and citizens were called upon to only trust official statements.

The Presidential Directorate of Communications' Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) issued a statement regarding shares that have recently targeted Turkey's climate of social unity, brotherhood, and peace.

"IT HAS BEEN DETECTED THAT A PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE STRATEGY IS BEING PUT INTO EFFECT"

In the statement made by the DMM, it was stated, "In recent days, it has been detected that an externally sourced and deliberate psychological warfare strategy targeting our country's social unity, brotherhood, and peace climate is being attempted to be put into effect."

"JUDICIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED"

In the statement, it was reported that necessary actions have been initiated against unfounded claims targeting unity and solidarity, and against foci that produce disinformation and provocation. The Center for Combating Disinformation stated, "Judicial and administrative processes are being implemented against foci that target our unity and solidarity and produce disinformation and provocation with unfounded claims." It was noted that all necessary measures are being taken by the relevant institutions "with moment-by-moment sensitivity and without interruption."

"NO DIRTY PLAN WILL ACHIEVE ITS GOAL"

The DMM, emphasizing the Turkish nation's common sense and the state's determined stance, stated that such initiatives will not achieve their goal. The statement said, "In the face of our nation's profound wisdom and common sense, and our state's determined stance, no dirty plan or focus will achieve its goal."

CALL TO CITIZENS TO "TRUST OFFICIAL STATEMENTS"

Citizens were also called upon to be cautious against social media posts of unknown origin. The statement used the expressions, "It is of great importance that our citizens be sensitive against malicious content; by not giving way to posts of unknown origin, they should only trust official statements."
