After Trump became the new president of the United States, Italian Prime Minister Meloni made a notable post. In her post, Meloni announced that she congratulated Trump over the phone. The post included the following statements:

The conversation was an opportunity to reaffirm the strong alliance, strategic partnership, and deep and historic friendship that always connects Rome and Washington.
