Police intervened in the protest held in Ankara for the personal rights of families of fallen soldiers and veteran soldiers. Veteran privates and relatives of fallen soldiers wanted to move their protest, which they started at Güvenpark to voice their demands regarding personal rights, to the front of the Ministry of National Defense. However, police teams blocked the group's path in Kurtuluş Park and placed the protesters under siege.
HE FELL ILL DURING THE POLICE INTERVENTION
Selçuk Türkoğlu, a deputy from the İYİ Party in Bursa who was in the area during the police intervention against veteran privates and relatives of fallen soldiers in Kurtuluş Park, also fell ill. While Türkoğlu received medical attention at the scene, he was later taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Veteran privates, corporals, and relatives of fallen soldiers have been carrying out various actions for a long time demanding the improvement of their personal and social rights.
