WIFE YEŞİM AKPOLAT SENTENCED TO 4 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS IN PRISON
The court sentenced Yeşim Akpolat to 4 years and 2 months in prison. Akpolat was also fined 781,000 lira in judicial fines.
Yeşim Akpolat was being tried as a defendant without detention in the Aziz İhsan Aktaş case on charges of "laundering property values derived from crime." She had previously given a statement as a suspect during the investigation and had made a defense regarding three actions attributed to her in the case.

RIZA AKPOLAT'S SENTENCE IS 23 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS
Rıza Akpolat had been sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison for "accepting bribes" within the scope of the file. With the penalties he received up to the 45th action, Akpolat's total prison sentence rose to 23 years and 3 months.
