When Karabük Mayor Özkan Çetinkaya saw sunflower seed shells littered on the ground in a park during his neighborhood visits, he reacted by saying, "You will clean these up from the city, and because these people are so tough, you will send them all somewhere like war, let them expend their energy there."

During his neighborhood visits, Karabük Metropolitan Mayor Özkan Çetinkaya toured the Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood and reacted when he saw a large amount of sunflower seed shells left around the gazebo in the park.

"SINCE THEY ARE VERY TOUGH, YOU WILL SEND THEM ALL SOMEWHERE, TO WAR, LET THEM SPEND THEIR ENERGY THERE"

Emphasizing the importance of keeping public spaces clean, Çetinkaya stressed that parks are common areas for everyone, stating, "The state of our park, there's nothing much to say, it's falling apart from the filth. We clean these areas every day, but unfortunately this is the state from evening to morning. May God grant wisdom, what can we say. You should gather them from the city, since they are tough, send them all somewhere, to war, let them release their energy there," expressing his reaction.

Mayor Çetinkaya's warning about the sunflower seed shells in the park was also supported by citizens nearby.

"WE WILL MAKE THIS PLACE SHINING BRIGHT"

Seeing that some tables had been overturned and scattered around, Mayor Çetinkaya also gave the order to close off the area with security tape and ban entry, saying, "We will make this place shining bright. We promise from here. This summer, this place will become a vibrant spot where families come."

Pointing out that environmental cleanliness is not only a municipal service but also a citizen's responsibility, Çetinkaya stated that such sights are unbecoming to the city and asked citizens to be more sensitive.

Chatting with local residents, Çetinkaya emphasized that a sense of shared responsibility is necessary for a clean and livable Karabük.
