Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek explained the projects implemented to keep young people away from addiction, crime, and bad habits. In addition to efforts in sports, technology, education, and culture, he announced that one of Turkey's largest rehabilitation centers is also operating in Kayseri.

Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek delivered striking messages in a comprehensive statement about the projects carried out for young people. Stating that they are conducting multifaceted efforts to support youth in sports, technology, education, and cultural fields, Çiçek said, "A city's true future is built with the dreams of its children and young people."

Stating that they are fighting a great battle to protect young people from addictions in Kayseri, Çiçek said that security forces continue their operations against drug dealers, while social projects are being implemented to ensure young people are not left alone.

17 THOUSAND LICENSED ATHLETES IN 67 SPORTS SCHOOLS

Stating that ERVA Sports Schools are at the center of the projects, Çiçek said they set out with the goal of "opening a sports school in every neighborhood." Noting that 67 sports schools have been opened across the city so far, Çiçek announced that a total of 17 thousand licensed athletes are actively training in these schools.

Emphasizing that all expenses of the sports schools are covered by sponsors, Çiçek stated that no fees are charged from children, and sports equipment and clothing are distributed free of charge. Stating that students' participation in national and international tournaments is also provided with sponsor support, Çiçek said that 350 coaches, teachers, trainers, psychological counselors, and academics work on the project.

YOUNG PEOPLE MEET TECHNOLOGY

Stating that another important study carried out in Kayseri is GÖKTİM Academies, Çiçek announced that they have established workshops for young people interested in technology and aiming to become engineers.

Stating that all equipment used in the project is provided by sponsor businesspeople, Çiçek noted that GÖKTİM Academies are carried out under the auspices of the governorship, in cooperation with the Melikgazi District Governorate, Melikgazi Municipality, Erciyes University, and Kayseri University.

CULTURE AND EDUCATION PROJECTS ALSO ATTRACT ATTENTION

Gökmen Çiçek said they are also developing projects not only in the fields of sports and technology but also for young people interested in social sciences, literature, sociology, and philosophy.

Stating that they aim to raise future thinkers and intellectuals with the Marifet Mektebi and Mektep Melikgazi projects carried out within this scope, Çiçek conveyed that Marifet Mektebi is conducted in cooperation with the Talas District Governorate and Talas Municipality.

Stating that besides the provincial and district directorates of national education, Erciyes University is also one of the important stakeholders in the project, Çiçek expressed that students are brought together with professors, associate professors, writers, and thinkers. Çiçek stated that these projects are also supported by sponsors and patrons.

"WE DO NOT ABANDON CHILDREN INVOLVED IN CRIME"

Stating that efforts for disadvantaged young people also continue in Kayseri, Gökmen Çiçek said that with the "Sensiz Olmaz" project, the aim is to reintegrate children involved in crime at an early age into society.

Stating that the project is carried out under the coordination of the Kocasinan District Governorate, with the support of Kocasinan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies, Çiçek stated that Nuh Naci Yazgan University also makes significant contributions to the project.

"ONE OF THE BEST-EQUIPPED CENTERS IN TURKIYE"

Announcing that one of the largest and best-equipped rehabilitation centers in Turkiye for combating drug addiction has been implemented in Kayseri, Çiçek said the center is operated by the Green Crescent (Yeşilay).

Stating that young people hold on to life again at the center, Çiçek said, "Touching a young person's life is changing a country's future."

Governor Gökmen Çiçek thanked the academics, sponsors, patrons, and project teams who contributed to all projects for young people, stating, "We are fighting a great struggle to ensure none of our children are left alone."
