CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Demir stated that the claims circulating on social media and some news websites that "the 'Gezi Resistance' painting was removed from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's office" are completely baseless. Demir said that the painting was taken by Özgür Özel's colleagues while the office was being vacated, and the original old painting was re-hung in its place.
Deniz Demir, Deputy Chairman of CHP Responsible for Media and Public Relations, responded to recent allegations against the party headquarters circulating on some internet news sites and social media platforms with a written statement.

Demir stated that news claiming the "Gezi Resistance" painting was removed from the office of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the position of Chairman following the 'absolute nullity' decision, were intended to mislead the public.
Demir noted that the painting in the office was not removed as alleged, but was taken by Özgür Özel's colleagues during the office evacuation process, and said: "During Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's chairmanship, there was a special painting in the relevant part of the office, personally gifted to him by disabled painter Muhammet Yalçın. The Gezi Resistance painting was removed from the wall and taken by Mr. Özgür Özel's colleagues when the headquarters office was vacated."

Clarifying how the gap left on the wall after the painting was taken was filled, Demir emphasized that the old layout of the office was preserved: "The old painting, a gift from disabled painter Muhammet Yalçın, which was previously hanging there, was rehung in the empty space on the wall. It is respectfully presented to the public's attention."
