Lawyers for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Lütfi Savaş, and other plaintiffs submitted a petition regarding the withdrawal of the appeal against the absolute nullity decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Appeals 36th Civil Chamber by the lawyers of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
A striking legal step has been taken following the 'absolute nullity' decision regarding the CHP congress. Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyers, Kadri Gökhan Sultan and Onur Yusuf Üregen, applied to the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, announcing that they have withdrawn the 'lifting of the interim injunction' request, which they argued was made without the knowledge and approval of the current party administration.
In the application, it was stated that the request in question does not reflect the current will of the CHP and is incompatible with the party's interests.
WITHDREW THE APPEAL
Lawyers Kadri Gökhan Sultan and Onur Yusuf Üregen applied to the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, which issued the absolute nullity decision regarding the CHP congress.
In the application, it was noted that in the appeal petition submitted against the absolute nullity decision by the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, a reversal request was made regarding the merits of the decision, and also the lifting of the interim injunction was requested, with the following statements:
'However, the said application was made without obtaining the instruction, knowledge, and approval of the Party Chairman and the current Party Administration. The lifting of the interim injunction was requested by persons without authority to represent the party will, in a hasty and malicious manner, without regard to the corporate interests and current legal strategy of the client Party. Therefore, the request for the lifting of the interim injunction in the appeal petition does not reflect the real and current will of the client Party and is incompatible with Party interests. For this reason, we are withdrawing our application regarding the request for the lifting of the interim injunction.'
For these reasons; we request the acceptance of our withdrawal request regarding the lifting of the interim injunction in the appeal petition submitted without the instruction, knowledge, and approval of the Party Chairman and the current Party Administration, and we submit it for your information.
KILIÇDAROĞLU DISMISSED CHP'S 3 LAWYERS
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, reinstated as CHP Chairman by court decision, as his first move dismissed 3 CHP lawyers, Çağlar Çağlayan, Mehmetcan Keysan, and Hazar Kardaş, via a 'letter of dismissal'. It was stated that these lawyers were handling legal processes on behalf of the CHP in cases related to the congress process.
