Osman Sınav passed away at the age of 69 after losing his battle with cancer. The first ceremony was held at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Many famous figures from the art world, along with his family and loved ones, attended the ceremony. Kenan İmirzalioğlu, who experienced emotional moments, commented, "He is the only person I can call my master in this industry."
Osman Sınav, the master director, producer, and screenwriter who left his mark on the Turkish television and cinema industry with legendary productions such as Kurtlar Vadisi, Deli Yürek, and Acı Hayat, passed away at the age of 69 after battling cancer. Sınav, who had been fighting cancer for a long time, bid farewell to his loved ones, leaving behind unforgettable works and a great legacy.
THE FIRST CEREMONY TOOK PLACE AT THE ATATÜRK CULTURE CENTER
The first farewell ceremony for the master director was held at the Atatürk Culture Center. Many famous names from the art world, along with his family and loved ones, attended the ceremony that started at 11:00 AM.
"HE WAS A VERY IMPORTANT PERSON FOR TURKEY"
During the emotional moments at the ceremony, Kenan İmirzalıoğlu expressed his respect for Sınav, saying, "He is the only person I can call my master in this industry." He continued: "He tried to prepare all of us so that it wouldn't be a difficult exam for us, but when we received the sad news, we were strangely shaken. We used to meet often; we had dinner together weeks ago when he was feeling well. He was a very important person for Turkey, a very valuable filmmaker. For me, it's a completely different situation... He is the only person I can call my master in this industry, the one who taught me this profession, the ethics and principles of this work. He was my teacher; we started my first job together," he said in farewell. İmirzalıoğlu was seen frequently in tears during the ceremony.
Selçuk Yöntem, who had difficulty speaking, said, "It's very hard to say something. He was very valuable; we will miss him a lot."
İbrahim Çelikkol also stated, "We lost a great tree, our master. We worked together on my first job; he was one of those who included me in this industry. May he rest in peace."
Ulaş Tuna Aspete, who worked with Osman Sınav in Sen Anlat Karadeniz, said, "Turkish cinema has lost a very valuable elder. Osman Hoca raised many students; a man of honor like Osman Sınav passed through this nation. Our people recognized him through his works, but his greatest legacy was his character. May his soul rest in peace."
Tayanç Ayaydın, who attended the ceremony, expressed his feelings with the words, "A very important school closed with Osman Hoca. We are bidding farewell to another master. Love was a very important concept for him. After shooting Aşk Kırmızı, he told me, 'I shot my first love film with you.' Before entering an important scene, he would warn us with 'with love and passion.' Now we have come to bid him farewell with love."
