A new controversy has erupted between AK Party Ankara MP Osman Gökçek and journalist Murat Ağırel over “Tera”-linked attorney claims. Gökçek asked Ağırel whether Attorney Sakine also represented him and requested explicit consent to publish the document he had. Gökçek’s call, “I expect a clear answer, not an evasion,” escalated the course of the controversy.
AK Party Ankara MP Osman Gökçek responded to journalist Murat Ağırel through lawyer Sakine, who is alleged to be linked to Tera Yatırım, the focus of the fund investigation. Asking whether Ağırel is also represented by the same lawyer, Gökçek requested explicit consent from the journalist to publish a document he said he had. Gökçek said, "I expect a clear answer, not evasion."
DEBATE OVER TERA AND LAWYER SAKINE
In his statement, Osman Gökçek said that in his assessment regarding responsibility for the fund issue, he pointed to Tera, and alleged that Sakine, whom he said was the company's lawyer, also served as Murat Ağırel's lawyer. Gökçek noted that Ağırel objected to this claim and asserted that he had a recording containing the journalist's voice.

In his statement directed at Murat Ağırel, Gökçek asked, "Is Sakine, Tera's lawyer, also your lawyer?" He asked Ağırel to state whether he would allow him to publish a document about him if Ağırel claimed there was no such situation.
Citing sensitivity regarding the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) as a reason for requesting explicit consent, Gökçek said, "I expect a clear answer, not evasion."
