In Sinop, as part of the 'Working Productive Youth Project' prepared by the Durağan Municipality, the idle old prison building will be transformed into a textile production facility with an investment of 30 million liras. The project aims to provide employment for at least 100 people.
The "Working Productive Youth Project," prepared by Sinop's Durağan district municipality and carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, will be implemented with an investment cost of 30 million lira.
Of the total budget of 30 million lira for the project, 27 million lira will be provided as grants, and 3 million lira will be covered by Durağan Municipality.
EMPLOYMENT IN THE TOWN WILL INCREASE
Within the scope of the project, the old Durağan Prison building and its land, which have been idle for many years, will be transformed into a textile production facility.
The textile factory to be established aims to provide employment for at least 100 people. The project aims to both increase production and contribute to the district's economy by developing vocational skills.
The project protocol was signed at Sinop Governorate, hosted by Governor Mustafa Özarslan, between Durağan Mayor Necmettin Ermiş and North Anatolian Development Agency (KUZKA) Secretary General Mehmet Akif Eraslan.

Governor Özarslan pointed out that bringing the public building and land, which have been idle for years, into production is an important step for the district, saying, "This investment holds great value not only economically but also socially. The factory, which will employ approximately 100 people, will directly contribute to the lives of families. An exemplary project has been realized through the cooperation of public institutions and local governments."
WOMEN AND YOUTH EMPLOYMENT
Ermiş stated that the project was implemented after a long and meticulous preparation process, and said that the textile factory to be brought to the district is of great importance, especially for women and youth employment.
Ermiş thanked Governor Özarslan, AK Party Sinop Deputy Nazım Maviş, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, KUZKA, and all institutions and organizations that contributed to the project.
