REQUEST FOR ARREST

Barım was referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest for aiding in the attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey or to prevent it from performing its duties.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had opened an investigation ex officio based on the claims in posts and news on social media platforms regarding Ayşe Barım, who manages some artists and actors, accepting these claims as a tip to uncover the material truth.

Ayşe Barım, the founder and partner of ID Consulting Limited Company, who manages many famous actors, has been in the spotlight due to allegations of creating a monopoly in the industry, and it was claimed that she distanced actors who opposed her from the market.

As part of the investigation opened against her, a travel ban was imposed on Ayşe Barım, while Serenay Sarıkaya, whom Barım managed, testified as a 'witness' and was subsequently detained.
