In the Akhisar district of Manisa, at around 11:00, a tour bus and a tow truck collided at the Akhisar Toll Booths area of the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Motorway. In the horrific accident, 11 people lost their lives and 27 people were injured.

MANY TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE REGION

After the accident, upon reports, numerous ambulances, fire brigades, and police teams were dispatched to the region. The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals after intervention by medical teams.

GOVERNOR'S OFFICE ANNOUNCED THE TRAGIC TOLL

In its statement regarding the accident, the Manisa Governor's Office reported that at 11:11 a report was received that a tour bus traveling from Bursa towards İzmir and a tow truck were involved in an accident near the Akhisar highway entrance. The governor's office statement included the following: "Today at 11:11, a report was received that a tour bus and a tow truck traveling from Bursa towards İzmir were involved in an accident near the Akhisar highway entrance. Medical and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, and rescue efforts for our citizens affected by the accident were quickly started. In the accident, 11 of our citizens lost their lives, and 27 of our citizens were injured. Our injured citizens have been transferred to hospitals. We wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives in the accident, and speedy recovery to our injured."
