Former football player of Fenerbahçe and the National Team, commentator Serhat Akın was attacked by unidentified individuals with firearms after a program he attended in Beykoz.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

Akın, who was injured in the leg, was taken to the hospital after the first intervention by health teams at the scene. While it was learned that Akın's health condition is good, the police have started working to capture the individuals who carried out the attack. Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attack.

The armed attack on Serhat Akın caused an uproar in the public, while a striking message came from former referee and sports commentator Ahmet Çakar. Çakar said, "To give Akın moral, 'Get well soon, my brother Serhat. Do not be discouraged, do not be afraid, do not take a step back. It is the police's duty to find the shooters, but the main thing is the instigator.'"
